Cabarceno Wildlife Park, Cantabria, Spain, 15th Oct 2012.

Also, just like most people, I am not really happy about keeping beautiful animals in captivity, but I have to admit that sometimes I don’t think about that as I also consider it the only occasion we have to be able to see certain animals.

This time, however, I was very impressed with the Park and the way the animals were taken care of.  All the animals have a lot of space in which to enjoy nature. The Park is 750 hectares and was opened in 1990. To go around it by car, it takes a whole day so you can imagine the size. I highly recommend that you visit it if you are around this area. It just feels as if you are entering a small Africa.

To see free animals surely is better and feels different, but this alternative is the next best thing after the real thing.

I loved all the animals, but this Gorilla literally stole my heart.
